Happy New Year to you and your families. Before starting the message let me do this...Thank You Father for allowing me and my family to cross over into this brand new year. You allowed me to survive 2020 with all of it's troubles and sickness. In the midst of the problems so many faced, you allowed many to prosper and I was among them. So for this, I Give You All The Praise, All The Honor, All My Worship FOR YOU ARE A MIGHTY GOD. There is NONE LIKE YOU. Had to get my Praise To The Father out.

If you are one who make's resolutions to make your life better in the new year than it was the previous year, give this one some thought...Zechariah 8:16...These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man (and woman) the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgement of truth and peace in your gates. 17...And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord. Zechariah 8:16 & 17 KJV.

I posted that new years eve and as I began this message for the new year, it became applicable because in order to adopt it's teaching, a renewal of one's mind must take place. One of the most unfortunate things about 2020 was the hatred, bitterness and lack of concern for our fellow man and woman. The truth in Zechariah's writings are not man's truth but God's.

This month's message asks you to renew your mind, your thoughts, your actions. Change them from your mindset in 2020 because it was not productive. Especially if we allowed politics to become our daily conversation. God's Word requires us to frequently have a check up from the neck up because this world we live in is chaos and it is up to us, God's people to speak His Truth to win souls that need to be saved. We can only accomplish that when we have renewed our minds to where God needs us to be. 

There is a lot of vanity in our minds, being renewed in the spirit of your mind means changing the attitude of your mind, doing away with vanity, the minds darkness and blindness learning instead the mind of Christ. His mindset in you draws you closer to Him because you are putting away lying speaking truth instead.

My wife bought a placard that says's "Kindness Matters" and it truly does, especially where we are now in our country. The 4th chapter of Ephesians is full of what we all need for renewal and if we allow ourselves the opportunity to truly believe what it teaches, transformation can begin to take place.

Instead on focusing on how difficult this renewing of your mind will be, allow The Comforter, The Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. Ephesians 4:30 KJV say's...And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31...Let all bitterness, and wrath and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32...And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
