Our Newness In Jesus Christ

2nd Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things become new

We have been Blessed to see the end of 2023 with all of its problems, challenges, failures and unresolved issues and the newness of 2024. We realize 2024 will have to be tested to determine its success (as 2023 was) but spiritually 2023 was a great year for those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior because there is a newness in each and every one of them.

The newness relates to that which is quite different from what one is accustomed to or unused. Not new in time but new as to quality in one's character.

Example...Remember how we were before accepting Christ in our lives? Yes, were alive, yes we were succesful and yes we were full of self pride. We were all about us and what we could do but we were lost spiritually and empty not having any peace.

We just celebrated the absoulute greatest birth ever recorded, Jesus came that we might have a new life filled with joy, peace and happiness because He now resides in us. And because of that truth, we can accomplish all things because He strenthens us.

We had to first become "New Creatures"... our language had to change, our mindset had to change, we had to become "born again" in the newness of Christ. For those have done so, their newness can become what someeone they will meet needs. Our job for 2024 is to share the great news of the life saving power of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Lives need saving so that person can enjoy the newness, love, joy and peace they never had.
