Psalm 100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord

Psalm 100:1-5 KJV...Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. 2...Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3...Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. 4...Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5...For the Lord is good: his mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations.

The absolute POWER of this Psalm is the opening verse. Make a joyful noise. Noise is good to God, I am not being flip or funny because everyone can not talk. There are people who God created that have never spoken a word. They make sounds and to God, their what some would consider to be noise is their Praise to The God who created them. No matter one's position in life, the most famous, most wealthy, most whatever are not more precious to God than the one's who make a noise because to HIM their noise is Joyful. No matter what our impediment may be, He is worthy of our Praise.

I have found serving the Lord fulfilling in so many ways but there are times it is difficult. There are times due to tiredness the energy isn't there , especially now that I am older. I marvel at Pastor's because of their commitment to God's call on their life, they push themselves beyond safe limits day after day hour after hour because God's people in that congregation are their responsibility. The faithful few are the same way, their commitment dictates they press their way, tired, sick, yet somehow still singing...doing their part because He is worthy of our Praise.

God The Father, God The Son, is who we serve, not only did He make us He gave us His Spirit. Try as we may, we can not equal what He does for us. I am amazed when I hear someone in business say they are self made. Their success came from their efforts and ideas. Really? The truth is as the verse states, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Everything and everyone belongs to Him because He made everything from nothing and made us from the dust of the ground. His job is protecting his sheep from all dangers and He does a magnificent job. That accident you were in could have been fatal, the illness you have been diagnosed with could have ended your life, the unexpected funds that someone gave you seemingly from no where helped you make it to pay day. You know, one of those but God moments...makes Him is worthy of our Praise.

So when you don't feel like it, especially on Sunday get up out of that bed , get your shower and put on your jeans (you don't have to be dressed in your finest) and make your way to God's House...The Church and walk into the doors giving Him your Praise, your Thanksgiving, your Praise. Be Thankful unto Him and Bless His Name. Don't worry about people looking at you like you are crazy, if they really new how God saved you, provided for you and your family, gave you the job, gave you the raise, gave you the house, the car, the apartment. If you ask about the homeless, God makes a way for them when you are led to give them something. You can't beat His giving and that makes Him worthy of our Praise.

For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to everyone of your generations...no matter how many they may be. He is Worthy of Our Praise.

God Bless You
