Sold Out And Becoming His...Completely

James 1:1...James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

Mention servant to someone and you may not get too many people willing to admit they want to be known for being a servant and before you jump all the way in on this word that could be used to describe you, consider this.

When you drill down on that word servant, whether hired or otherwise it means slave and we know from history, being a slave or being in servitude means involuntaraly being owned as property by someone else. In the natural world we live in, this word is one we want to pass on...not wanting any association with it.

However, in the Spiritual realm being called a servant or slave means something totally different even though there is a line of commonality between the two meanings. Both mean you have no rights of your own, both mean you will do as you are told by the one who owns you, both mean you have given up your will and personal identiy.

Here is the crazy part...in the world...we are slaves to our jobs by working long hours for low pay. In the world...we are slaves to our bad habits whether its is smoking, drinking, drugs, chasing men or women, gambling, stealing. In the world...we find dishonesty, hanging with the wrong folks or allowing political views to alieanate friendships.

Whatever has you bound in the natural world we live in everyday is slavery or servitude...we have sold out completely and willingly and are not enjoying it...no matter how much your mind tells you that you are because in your Spirit you know you have to change.

So the question now on the floor is...are you Sold Out? If you are, the next questions is what or who have you Sold Out to?

There was a tremendously success song out several years ago by now Bishop Hezekiah Walker titled "Sold Out". One of the lyric lines in the song say's, "My heart is fixed, my mind made up...no room no vacancy, I'm all filled up...His Spirit lives in me and that's the reason I'm Sold Out.

May I suggest you find yourself selling out to the one who will give you satisfaction beyond what your mind can comprehend. When Jesus disciples finally Sold Out after the they were filled wih the Holy Spirit, they all became the dynamic men and women God had called them to be.

Becoming totally His means selling out to everything the world offers. I never knew being a servant or servitude was enriching my life until people were telling me how much they were Blessed by a Word they received from me. Whether it is through this blog or my web site or at my job or of course church...I am Completely Sold Out and became totally His.

Is it easy, no it is not but in the words of the Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 2:2-5... For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3...And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4...And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5...That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
